HF Tunnel 1.0.0 — Share a local website
© 2026 HostFog Ltd. All rights reserved.

HF Tunnel shares a website running on this computer (any local web server) at a public
https://<random name>.hostfog.io link: free, no account, a new link at every start.
Anyone with the link can open your local website while HF Tunnel runs; Stop (or closing it) ends the link.
Nothing on this computer listens for the internet: HF Tunnel connects out to the tunnel server.

Open the app for its window, or use the command in a terminal:
  hf-tunnel 80
  hf-tunnel http://localhost:8080 --host mysite.test
  hf-tunnel --help

INSTALL (macOS 11 or newer, Apple Silicon and Intel)
1. Drag "HF Tunnel.app" into your Applications folder (the Applications shortcut
   is next to it).
2. Open it. Because the app isn't from the App Store, macOS asks first:
   - macOS 15 (Sequoia) and newer: if it says the app can't be opened, open
System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll down and click
"Open Anyway" next to HF Tunnel, then confirm.
   - macOS 14 and older: Control-click the app, choose Open, then Open.
If macOS says the app "is damaged", open Terminal and run:
       xattr -cr "/Applications/HF Tunnel.app"
   then open it again.

THE WINDOW
HF Tunnel shows its window in your browser: in its own window without an address
bar when Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Chromium or Vivaldi is
installed, else in a tab of your default browser. Opening the app again
brings the window back; closing the window quits HF Tunnel (after a few seconds).
File dialogs and the clipboard are macOS's own.

UNINSTALL
Move "HF Tunnel.app" to the Trash. Your settings stay in
~/Library/Application Support/HostFog/HF Tunnel

THE COMMAND
The same program is the hf-tunnel command:
  "/Applications/HF Tunnel.app/Contents/MacOS/hf-tunnel" 80
